GYMNASTICS NOTES - FEBRUARY 13, 2009

Hanford, the Columbia Basin Big Nine 4A/3A district champion, will join Southridge, Kamiakin and Richland at the regional meet Saturday at Mead Middle School in Spokane.

The CBBN schools have their work cut out for them against the likes of Mead and University in the 4As and Shadle Park in the 3As if their athletes hope to advance to next week's state meet at the Tacoma Dome.

Only one team qualifies from both the 4A and the 3A/2A meets, along with just the top all-around scorer not on the qualifying team.

The 4A meet will qualify three individuals per apparatus, while the 3A/2A meet gets four.
