Adam Tenforde, Hanford. Adam had the trifecta his senior season -- the state cross country title in November 1998, followed by the AA state titles in the 1,600 and 3,200 meters in June, along with a third at Foot Locker nationals, a sixth at U.S. Junior Nationals and a berth on the U.S. world juniors team. The longer the race, the better Adam ran; he just ate up the kilometers and ground his competition into submission. He went on to become an All-American in cross country and the 10,000 meters at Stanford. |
